WALKING BY FAITH
Hebrews 11:1,6 Defines FAITH as "The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
V6. "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:1, 6 NKJV)
In reality, Faith can only work on distance between your present position to your destination and your hope. So, faith is a journey, and still the power that drives your will. That is to say, Faith carries you to your Hope, and after that, upgraded to faithfulness; the wisdom to stay in faith. Once hope is realized, a test to the substance is levied on you, i.e., a test on your faithfulness becomes a reality. Faithfulness is the attitude of keeping constant [maintaining relationship with the one that fulfilled your Hope -God], once our hope is realized.
Most believers become unfaithful the very moment their hope is fulfilled, forgetting that a mans want is insatiable or re-occurring. IT IS NATURAL! Remember that every unfaithfulness is a gateway for the enemy and destroyer, and if not checked, will result in a bad news; loss, pains, anger and hopelessness. Why? God is faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9) Believe it or not, 'A Christ-less life is a life in crises'.
IN MATTHEW 14:22-33
1. V22 [Read] Go to the other side? Go preach, reveal yourselves, share testimony of His Lordship. Walking with Jesus commands a commission on you. Now, be mindful of the enemy. He will do anything in his power to dispossess you, making it impossible to achieve your commission.
2. V23 [Read] Fast (alone), and Pray. Be careful and guard yourself by The Living Word of God, your Savior daily.
There is a time He needs to be alone, and you will be alone too. What Do I Do at such time? Do what your Master did. Pray, worship, and Praise.
3. V24 [Read]
The Devil Knows Where To Get You; Operating Outside Your Savior is the war territory. Be careful. Every Test you are going through is designed to bring you into a testimony. Most tests shows up whenever you are so close to your Testimony! Know that this is the time Faith is needed, and is tested. Hold on, and continue to walk by faith.
4. V25 [Read]
You are not alone (Repeat). Know for sure that as a child and follower of Jesus Christ, He must show up at the time proper for your Deliverance. He will not be a second late, and is there to bring light into your darkness. His voice calms your storm, His wisdom re-arranges all your shattered plans. He is a timeless God, and mighty to save. This is to say to you family of God that though "weeping endures for a night, Your joy must come in the morning" (Psalm 30:5). Amen.
*Define the time 3:00-6:00am. For Christians, be careful. This is the time the devil and his demons are loose, when all hell is loose! Do not be found at this time doing things (partying, drinking, etc) that is not the will of God. It might be difficult to deliver. Use this time to pray, and set the desires of your heart on the go!
5. V26 [Read].
Hangovers of life do happen. When they do, thank God, and seek His face for your deliverance. Here, bad experience becomes a positive encounter. James 1:2-4 "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-4 NKJV)
It is easy for anyone of us to talk about the best things that happened to us. None of us wants to talk about our hang-overs! Why? Some of us cursed God when bad things happened to us, or rather denied Him as Lord, left church and went after our lusts. What a shame! Repent. Being together for years, the disciples are yet to know who Jesus really was. They knew Him as a man, master and spiritual leader, but later saw him as the
God that walks on the ravaging storm that is against them!!! "It is a ghost!" A ghost? No!!
When was the last time you had an encounter with God? It is a memorable experience that lasts for a lifetime. Meeting with God commands reverence, worship and humility. You can not encounter God and remain the same. You must be humbled.
May God speak over all your problems, fears, needs and enemies. Amen.
"Take courage! I AM!! Stop being Afraid!!! Here, Christ answered the lifelong question about Himself. He revealed his identity as the only one and Almighty God (Exodus 3:14). Hallelujah! As a believer, you have the right to life, and God's territories (Genesis 1:28-). There is no other as God fulfilled in man as Jesus Christ. John 14:6,7 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him." (John 14:6, 7 NKJV). Why was Christ speaking with such impudence? Because there is a mystery about God that only God can teach men. That's why Christ came.
7. V28-29 [Read]
Be careful what you ask for. You will receive it. (Matthew 7:7)
8. V30-31 [Read]
Walk by Faith. Stay in your dominion, claim your desires. Possess your possessions, and do not surrender to your enemy. Know that whatever God gives, He also protects, except you start to serve the gift instead of the giver. Always remember His promises. They are infallible;
A. "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you." (John 14:18 NKJV)
B. "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Hebrews 13:5, 6 NKJV)
C. "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me."(John 14:1 NKJV)
9. V 32-33 [Read]
You don't have to see before believing. Believe then see. Believing before seeing is called righteousness (Romans 4:3), and the righteous shall live by faith (Hebrews 10:38). "And the just shall live by faith" (Habakkuk 2:4). Doubt is the opposite of faith. Doubts sees limitations but faith creates and manifests impossibilities. Doubt attacks faith, but faith in Christ erodes doubt. What are you doubting God for today?
Do not for who you are, Believe that God will not meet your expectations... walk by faith!
